Feature Friday: Warm Signal
Silke Sieler is a motion graphics designer based in Hamburg, Germany who freely admits she loves abstract things, strange details, loud music and lots of ice cream. She promises. It’s a combination of these life loves that brought her to her final diploma thesis produced at University of Applied Sciences Mainz titled Warm Signal.
The concept is simple. In her own words: “A short abstract movie dealing with nature and maritime creatures, metamorphosis and transformation – it connects art and science. Strong emphasis on sound, related to the idea of visual music. The Style is soft but clean, focusing on black & white.”
A simple concept mixed with gorgeous visuals modeled and animated in Cinema 4D, composited in After Effects and further edited in Final Cut has created a beautiful animation that flows to the music of Apparat. It’s both relaxing and awe inspiring. Take your time and enjoy the beauty that is Warm Signal.

Very nice work. Bizarre, organic, oddly soothing. Love this Feature Friday idea!
