Fonts Motion Designers Will Love
As motion designers were often asked to give a piece a fresh look or make something look a particular way, well one great way to do this is with typography. Typography can change the look and feel of a whole video. So here we go with a round up of some fresh and great looking fonts that you can use with your motion graphics.
Some of these fonts are free for personal use and commercial use whilst others you will need to pay for, so please make sure you check before using them.
Code
Code is a great sans serif font, that comes in a light and bold version.
VAL
VAL is a great round chunky font suitable for motion graphics and more!
FILE
File is another great great chunky font suitable for motion graphics.
LOT
Another great chunky geometric-esque font.
Quadranta
A geometric font suitable for titles and logos.
Springsteel
A nice unusual font, almost 60’s ish feel.
Lifestyle
A nice slab serif font, would probably be a great alternative to Rockwell.
Motor Oil 1937
Motor Oil is a great alternative to Furtura .
Sketchetik
Sketchetik is a nice san serif sketchy font which would work great in motion graphics. Also available in multiple weights.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this round up, if you think we’ve missed any great ones out then let us know in the comments!

Hi, I’m from Nottingham in the United Kingdom. I’ve been writing about motion graphics on Motion Design Love for a while now, as well being a Video Editor and Motion Designer by Day. I probably spend most of my waking hours either doing something with motion graphics or thinking about stuff I can do with motion graphics. I’m looking forward to writing some great articles for Fuel Your Motionography, I hope you’re all looking forward to reading them!

More than half of the links are broken. Please email me when they are up. Thanks!
Font Fabric (where the majority of these links lead) appears to be down at the moment. Give it a while and then try again, and we’ll keep our eyes on it as well. Thanks for letting us know!
